In May 2022, Marie Stopes launched a Health Jogging Club at Namasakata village in Tunduru, an innovative approach towards increasing the family planning uptake among youth. Through the first jogging event, the team was able to reach more than 800 youth, who received services that resulted to 1,870 CYPs. Out of those youth reached; 485 youth tested for HIV. During the session, youth were equipped with entrepreneurship skills including liquid soap making to enable them raise income for daily living. Jogging club builds on MST’s Human Centred Design (HCD) events that are aimed at ensuring young people have access to quality reproductive health services. Contact center cards were distributed to youth reached for them to continuously access SRHR information through our call centre when in need.
